The Family Mortgage Team
SCOTT EVANS, CCIM, CRMS, CMPS, CDLP
Partner, Senior Vice President of Production
A native of Buffalo, NY, Scott attended the University of Buffalo and later followed his passion of skiing the Rockies to Colorado where he pursued his studies at The University of Colorado in Boulder. In 1989, Scott relocated to Atlanta to continue his career in commercial real estate asset management and worked with banks, life insurance companies and private investors managing commercial office buildings. Ten years later—after winning the coveted TOBY (The Outstanding Building of the Year) International award multiple years– Scott established his mortgage company, Family Mortgage of Georgia, based on a desire to assist people in one of the biggest investment decisions of their lives. To further enhance his knowledge, he achieved the distinguished CCIM designation (Certified Commercial Investment Manager); and later the CRMS designation (Certified Residential Mortgage Specialist) from the National Association of Mortgage Brokers.
Between 2003 and 2012, Scott received 3 Diamond Awards from the Mortgage Bankers Association, and was consistently listed in the top five “Top Gun” Mortgage Loan Originators in the State of Georgia by The Georgia Association of Mortgage Brokers; Since 2009, he has been listed in the Scotsman Guide Top Originators in the U.S., and was recently recognized by Mortgage Executive Magazine as one of the Top 1% Mortgage Originators in America.
Known for his “no nonsense” approach to the mortgage loan process, Scott joined LeaderOne Financial Corporation in 2012 as Partner and Vice President of Production in Georgia, and he continues to utilize his 15 years experience and expertise to guide Homeowners through numerous mortgage options to reach the exact combination that complements their overall financial plan. As a result, he has created a strong and supportive client base of over 3.000 homeowners who continue to seek his expert guidance on the mortgage process and the advantages of home ownership. He has also conquered 58 summits of the fifty-eight 14,000 foot mountains in Colorado—but that’s just a hobby… 🙂
JEANNE THOMPSON EVANS
Business Development/Marketing Director
Jeanne joined Family Mortgage in 2001 to assist Scott with his fast growing company during a major refinance “boom.” Within months her role grew to encompass office operations, marketing, accounting and HR. As a result, her “temporary job to help her husband out” became an opportunity to utilize her vast business background in commercial real estate, accounting and office management to create her new career in the mortgage industry, where she now happily serves as the LeaderOne Financial Corporation’s Georgia Branch Marketing Director and Business Development Specialist for The Family Mortgage Team. She also serves as Editor of “Family Secrets;” the Team Cheerleader… and her husband’s biggest fan.
Jeanne can be contacted @ Extension 223 or by email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
John joined the Family Mortgage Team in 2016 during his senior year at Kennesaw State University while pursuing his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance. He quickly fell in love with helping his clients find the ideal mortgage to suit their unique circumstances and achieve their personal financial goals. Having been a tile & stone subcontractor for nearly a decade before the financial crisis, he was immediately drawn to renovation and construction loans and how well suited they are to the Metro Atlanta market. Being inherently complicated by nature, these loans have been effectively marginalized by the industry which has limited homeowners’ exposure to these mortgage options.
Whether you are looking to buy a home and customize it to your tastes or refinance your current home to make improvements, he can teach you how these loans work, advise you on your most cost effective options, and even connect you with a few general contractors to help you design your dream home. He will also guarantee a 35 day close for any Certified Homebuyer that utilizes his Home Design Loan program to buy a home and finance improvements! Ask him how!
John can be reached @ Extension 230 or email: email@example.com.
